Letters from Jose and Candida

This letter was written by Jose in Spanish and translated with the help of higher level students into English.  Through his own hard work, we will see his English improve as he progresses through the program.

Hello
My name is Jose Luis Silva Garcia
Age: 23 years
I am from Nicaragua
Originally from the city of Leon.

Very dear friend, I mean you by this letter expressing my deepest thanks for the help you have given me, first of all I want to start thanking God for this opportunity and to fill those blessings are supporting me especially you

Study of Chemistry and Pharmacy program is now part of the foundation of Alianza Americana Instructor employability proleadership language and leadership, before entering this program let me tell you it was an ordinary person someone who had a different outlook on life, someone that just did not quite know his way, but one day I came across a flyer that spoke of an opportunity than something new that caught my attention, and decided to find out it was so applied to the program to be looking for new language instructor horizons, from an early English is something that excites me the most but my economic conditions and student never had the opportunity to make this dream a reality but this announcement came one day to look and fight by all means come to the end. Thanks to the foundation of Alianza American this time I opened the door to a new world that is changing my life forever.

We performed a selection process where many people apply but only those with the necessary requirements including myself were left, then take a trip leading to the beaches of Poneloya a few hours from my hometown Leon, there we were given the first training me and other young people selected for the different programs: language instructor, translator, and tour guide. In this place I met my classmates today my new family and together we learned the first qualities and values of a true leader, a topic which I found very interesting and so far did not know existed, thanks to Mr. Oscar Aragon his wife Mrs. Eira Argeñal whom we shared their knowledge and provided the training we discover ourselves and awaken the leader in all of us was a journey of great benefit and enjoyment.

Then the program began classes every day so far met with Mr. Oscar Aragon and his wife Mrs. Eira Argeñal for lessons that teach us how to be better every day, to find our true passions in life, something that motivates us and know who we really are two main books we read together which are: Presence which is analyzing the situations of life beyond what our eyes see, and the second book The Passion Test which has taught us to discover what that truly makes us happy passion that drives our lives today and in the future when full and perfect after this step to my English classes in the morning and afternoons from Monday to Friday and all day Saturday.

Only recently made the second leadership training this time in the beautiful city of Jinotega in a place called young life, this workshop was given by our friend Jonathan Kroll who taught us a new perspective of a leader a new understanding of how to become better not only for us but to help other people showed us new values such as compassion and strength to believe in each especially humility and authenticity of self, taught us to lead from our present into the future was an unforgettable experience.

Currently I am very happy because I improved my English class I'm moving forward and I hope more and more, this would not have been possible if I do not accept the challenge, a challenge that goes beyond the English is mostly self-belief to all your effort to get ahead I hope my efforts serve as helpful not only for myself but for others the service which will put everything I have learned, helping to build a new society stronger and better trained and be a source of change for my country needs it so much and so I reach the end of my experience throughout this process.

Thanks for making my dreams come true my best wishes to you and your loved ones goodbye to love you with this humble servant.

Jose Luis Silva Garcia
